ivWatch Patient Monitor
IV Monitoring Made Simple
The ivWatch Patient Monitor continuously assesses the status of the tissue near your patient’s peripheral IV so that your clinicians can intervene the moment a potential infiltration or extravasation event occurs. Your team receives real-time audible and visual notifications, often before visible signs of an infiltration are evident, which may help to reduce both liability and patient harm.

Clinician-Approved User Interface
Our ivWatch Patient Monitor was designed with direct input from nurses and other clinicians to ensure easy setup, use, and interaction in both high pressure settings and routine environments. Features include:
- Audiologist-approved tones and adjustable volume options.
- 4.3-inch LCD screen gives clinicians visual confirmation of patient IV status.
- Adjustable brightness levels offer adaptability to various clinician and patient needs.
- State of the IV log provides clear indication when IV requires immediate assessment.
- Tested and proven in real-world clinical environments.
Advanced Detection Technology
- Measures tissue fluid volume changes near PIV insertion site while accounting for patient motion.
- With a monitoring device sensitivity of 96.4%, ivWatch technology prompts real-time, actionable notification, while low false positive rates alleviate alarm fatigue.1,2,3
Smart Transitions
- On-going event log documents routine IV assessments and infiltration notification events to show a comprehensive monitoring history.
- Event log reduces manual data documentation and communication errors between shifts.
- One-click assessment buttons enhance workflow efficiency.
Integration with Philips Patient Monitoring Systems
- Compatibility with Philips Patient Monitoring Systems – IntelliVue MP40-90 and MX400-800 through the IntelliBridge EC10 Interface Module or IntelliBridge EC10 Integral Interface Board with Open Interface Driver (ED1010) and EC5 ID Module.
- Compatibility with EMR systems makes data capture and documentation automatic without manual intervention, saving time and reducing error.
Compatibility and Portable Functionality
- On-going compatibility with multiple ivWatch sensors and accessories.
- Able to run on internal battery for at least 5 hours when disconnected.
- Easily attaches to an existing IV pole with wire bale for cable management.

Indications for Use: The ivWatch Model 400 is indicated for the detection of subcutaneous infiltrations and extravasations of 10 cc or less of optically clear infusates, as an adjunctive device to the clinical evaluation in the healthcare setting of adults and pediatrics with peripherally-inserted catheters (PIVs). The device is indicated to assess patients for subcutaneous infiltrations and extravasations but should not serve as a substitute for regular clinician assessment of the PIV site. The ivWatch Model 400 is intended for use by healthcare practitioners who have been trained in the use of the device.
