ivWatch, the only provider of continuous monitoring devices for the early detection of intravenous (IV) infiltrations and extravasations, entered into a long-term development and commercialization agreement with ICU Medical, a worldwide leader in the development, manufacture and sale of innovative medical devices used in infusion therapy and critical care applications. The collaboration will offer a way forward for Electronic Health Records (EHR) interoperability by connecting the two companies’ systems in order to exchange and use high-quality data.
ivWatch has announced compatibility with Philips IntelliVue Patient Monitors with the inclusion of point-of-connectivity. As the only provider of continuous non-invasive monitoring devices for the early detection of peripheral intravenous (IV) infiltrations and extravasations, ivWatch now supports Philips IntelliVue Patient Monitors for in-room and remote notifications and electronic medical record (EMR) data capture.
ivWatch and Terumo have a licensing and distribution agreement with Terumo to help improve patient safety. As part of the agreement, Terumo Corporation is named as the exclusive distributor for ivWatch in Japan and has licensed ivWatch continuous IV infiltration detection technology for use in its products globally.
As the market leader for continuous IV infiltration and extravasation detection technology, ivWatch and Terumo Corporation, one of the world’s leading medical device manufacturers and distributors, have agreed that Terumo will be the exclusive distributor of the ivWatch Model 400 and the ivWatch OEM board in Japan, and is a global licensing partner for Terumo products containing the ivWatch OEM board.**
ivWatch has been designated a Vizient awarded supplier by Vizient, Inc., the largest member-driven health care performance improvement company in the country. The ivWatch Model 400 has earned an Innovative Technology designation based on recommendations for the device by providers with expertise in this category who serve on one of Vizient’s member-led councils. Innovative Technology contracts are reserved for technologies that demonstrate an ability to enhance clinical care or patient safety, and those that improve an organization’s care delivery and business model.
